I was wondering how parents feel about signage with their children's name on them; car or in front yard. There has been some talk about not identifying your child as to where they go to school or where they play a sport for fear of someone trying to gain access to the child. Is anyone concerned about this? I know parents who have decided to put a sign in their yard but not place their child's name on the sign. I would love to know what everyone else thinks. Thanks.

I feel like it's a very valid precaution. It can’t be a bad thing to make our kids less vulnerable to preditors. Bad things may never happen but it can. It is our job as parents to protect our kids as much as we can. I also go so far as to not leave our names on our home message recorder. So, as for my family, we will not display our kids names on our cars, on signs, backpacks or sports gear.
